R. Steven Calhoun:
Steve graduated from the Wake Forest School of Law in 1997 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and has been in private practice since that time. He has an undergraduate degree in Management from Louisiana State University as well as an MBA from the Babcock Graduate School of Business at Wake Forest University. He is licensed to practice law in the states of North Carolina and Louisiana.
After graduating from Wake Forest in 1997, Steve worked in the Corporate Transaction and International Taxation Services section of Arthur Anders, LLP in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1999, Steve took a job with the law firm Gold, Weems, Bruser, Sues and Rundell in Alexandria before setting up his own firm in West Monroe, Louisiana at the end of 2000. Sheve has performed closings as a part of his practice for over fifteen (15) years.
Steve is licensed by the State of Louisiana as a title insurance agent with Fidelity National Title and currently 75% of his practice is devoted to land title examinations and real estate closings. In March of 2016 he recently became a part of an elite group of of attorneys who were certified by a national CPA firm for ALTA Best Practices. (See link above.)
Steve is a devoted father to a very active six (6) year old son, Eli. Steve loves hunting, fishing and sports. He is very active in our community. Steve has served on the West Monroe/Ouachita Chamber of Commerce for two (2) years, and is a past President of the West Monroe Kiwanis Club.
